Hi, I’m Pam, Arizona Dog Photographer
Why I Photograph Animals
For over 16 years, I’ve built a career capturing people in a way that feels real, personal, and artistic—from families and kids at Pamela Nicole Photo to empowering women through Femme Art Boudoir. But I’ve always had a deep love for animals and dreamed of working with dogs in a meaningful way.
I once thought about training a therapy dog or working with dogs in a more hands-on way, but I’ve never had the discipline or structure needed to train a dog for something so specialized. My own dogs are loved and spoiled, but perfectly trained? Not exactly. Then one day, a family brought their dog to a photoshoot, and I was hooked. I loved capturing their expressions, energy, and connection—it hit me: this is how I can work with dogs. And with that, FurrHaus, a modern pet photography studio in Mesa, AZ, was born.
As a mom of two, wife, and pet parent to two dogs and two cats, I get it—our pets are family. When I lost my cat last year, I realized how much I treasure the pet portraits I have of her. Seeing them around my home keeps her close, and we still tell stories about her all the time. That’s why I do this—to capture the love, personality, and moments we never want to forget.
At FurrHaus, I specialize in natural-light pet photography, creating artistic, personality-filled dog portraits that celebrate everything we love about them.
I can’t wait to meet your furry friends!

Capturing Your Dog’s Personality Through Art

A Photographer Who Understands Dogs
With over 16 years of experience in professional photography, I’ve worked with thousands of clients, learning that great portraits aren’t about forcing poses but about capturing real moments. Working with dogs is much like working with toddlers—expect the unexpected and let them lead the way. That’s why I adapt to each dog’s energy, ensuring they feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. There’s no need for perfect training—I photograph dogs exactly as they are, finding those fleeting expressions that make them so lovable.
A Relaxed, Dog-Friendly Photography Experience
I understand that bringing your dog into a studio can feel overwhelming, but my sessions are designed to be stress-free and fun. The studio is a small, enclosed space where your dog can explore, sniff, and get comfortable before we start. There’s no pressure for them to sit still—I work at their pace, using a mix of movement, treats, and patience to bring out their best expressions. This relaxed approach ensures we capture genuine, artistic images that showcase your dog’s personality in a way that feels natural.
