Session Details & Preparation

How long does a session last?
Most sessions last about 45 minutes to an hour, but every dog is different! Some settle in quickly, while others take a little longer. I’m patient and work at your dog’s pace to ensure a stress-free experience.

How should I prepare my dog for the photoshoot?
To set your pup up for success:
✔ Give them a potty break before arriving.
✔ Bring their favorite treats and toys to grab their attention.
✔ Avoid a fresh haircut unless you love the groomed look—grooming at least a week prior often looks more natural in photos.
✔ Bring them in clean and dry—a fresh bath is great, but wet fur isn’t ideal for photos!

Do I need to help during the session?
Yes! You know your dog best, and your help makes all the difference. I’ll guide the session, but I’ll need you to assist with getting their attention, offering treats, or just giving them reassurance. Think of it like a fun, teamwork experience!

My dog isn’t trained—will that be a problem?
Not at all! No training required. I work with each dog’s natural energy and use quick-shooting techniques to capture those perfect moments. Whether they sit still for a second or bounce around the entire time, I’ll get the shots we need.

Multi-Dog Policy & Additional Pets

Can I bring more than one dog?
Each session includes up to two dogs, but I’m happy to discuss adding more. I don’t guarantee shots of them together, but I’m always willing to try! If you have more than two pets, please contact me in advance so we can make a plan! Additional dogs require a small fee due to the extra time and coordination needed.

I specialize in dog photography, but I also welcome other pets! I’ve photographed cats, turtles, lizards, and more—if you have a different kind of pet in mind, just get in touch, and we’ll figure out the best way to capture them.

After your Pets Session

What happens after my session?
After your shoot, I’ll carefully curate your images, and you’ll receive a gallery to select your favorites. My collections include a mix of digital images and artwork options so you can display your pup’s portraits however you’d like!

How much does a pet photography session cost?
The session fee is $199, with artwork and digital collections starting at $495. Most clients invest $1,000+ to create statement pieces and lasting keepsakes. See full pricing details here.
